WE ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Yes, it may be corny, but think of the LaGrange Public Library as a caterpillar, closing down for a few weeks in October to emerge as a gorgeous, brilliant butterfly in November!
We are unbelievably excited to unveil the new Young Adult Room to the teens of LaGrange, full of plush, comfy seating (with funky fabrics!), plenty of natural light, an expanded non-fiction collection, and the best YA fiction collections ever! The Library will also be a WiFi hotspot, so bring out your laptops, too.
But of course, that’s not all. We’ve hired a friendly, intelligent, and creative new assistant, Debra M., who will staff the YA desk in the evenings and on most weekends. She is bursting with ideas for programs (and she’s very nice to talk to, too!). We’re planning more frequent and more varied programming, too — like outdoor book discussions, Poetry in the Park, Saturday Morning Teens and ‘Toons, and new stuff like that. You’ll be able to read all about it on our brand-new website, coming in October!
So keep your eyes glued to this space! We in the LaGrange Public Library Young Adult Department want to do the best job for you that we can, so let us know if you have any suggestions or ideas. Give us a call at 352-0576, or email ya@lagrangelibrary.org, or AIM us at lgpublib.
See you soon – keep reading!
