Teen Events for November and December

YOUNG ADULT MOVIES IN THE LIBRARY
Thursday, November 30 at 4 pm, and Thursday, December 14 at 4 pm.
Grab a can of pop and a pillow, come on over to the Library, help yourself to some popcorn, and settle down to a big, free movie. In November, join us for Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which is a total stitch. In December, we’re showing a holiday double feature – the Chuck Jones-animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, followed by the new Claymation-style Robbie the Reindeer: Hooves of Fire. Better known in Britain, Robbie is Rudolph’s out-of-shape son, who is sent for training to the North Pole.

The teen book discussions continue in November with Susan Cooper’s Over Sea, Under Stone. The story is about three English children in the seaside village of Cornwall who stumble on an ancient secret involving King Arthur. Please join us for snacks and thought-provoking conversation! Are you looking for that special, quirky holiday gift for that special, quirky friend? We’ve got just the thing – custom made snowglobes! We’ll provide the jars, the glue, the glitter, and the glycerine – YOU bring a plastic object to put into the snowglobe. What’ll it be? A little green plastic army guy? A Star Wars™ figure? A Bratz™ doll? A dinosaur? Whatever you choose, try to keep it under 4” tall. Those possibilities are endless…
